Aligning the Conscious And Subconscious

What the mind can conceive and the heart can believe you will achieve.

With a doctorate in Interpersonal Communication and Psychology, I’m always on the lookout for techniques and strategies that bring out the very best in people. I want to help people achieve their goals and realize their dreams.

Based on the research that has been conducted in the last 50 years, I know you can get your conscious and subconscious mind to work for you instead of against you. You can change your attitude, your behavior, your habits, and ultimately the direction of your life.

And one of the quickest ways to do that is through the use of subliminal programming. But first you need to understand how your mind works. Then you can take control of it.

In essence, your brain has two hemispheres known as the left-brain and the right-brain. The left-brain is analytical, logical, and somewhat addicted to doing things the same way it has always done them. It remembers how things are done and unless it is forced or coaxed to change, it probably won’t.

The left-brain functions this way because it is very effective most of the time. It saves energy. You don’t have to stare at your pants each morning and figure out how to put them on. You know the way you have done it in the past, and it works. So you’ll put your pants on the same way each and every day. Secondly, your left brain saves time. As you repeat a certain task, your muscles get trained. They work together quickly and efficiently to get the task accomplished. It’s called motor muscle memory.

Let me give you an example. You are no doubt very good at tying your shoes because you have done it thousands of times. You don’t even have to think about it. Your hands do it by themselves. You can even do it while carrying on a conversation. You’re involved in a remarkably efficient process compared to a four-year old who hasn’t quite figured it out. Every muscle in the child’s body is tense. He is burning enough calories to run a marathon, and his shoes aren’t getting any closer to being tied.

So it’s obvious the left-brain serves a very important purpose. You can imagine the chaos you would experience if your mind would not form habits or repeat actions. You would stare at your shoelaces dumbly every morning. Or picture the frustrated farmer. Every time he got on his tractor he would have to relearn the controls. He would have to figure out how to get to his field and how to plant his corn. Needless to say, left-brain memories make our lives quite livable.

There is a downside, however. After a while, your habits become entrenched in your right brain. Your right brain is concerned with emotions and attitudes, with creativity and inspiration. Your right brain is concerned with what “feels” good, right, or familiar. It does not and cannot judge whether your habits are good or bad.

For example, you may habitually overeat or smoke because it feels good or familiar — even though you know it is bad for you.

It may even go a step further. You may have mental habits where you think poorly of yourself. These familiar thought patterns may be holding you back from achieving all the success you would like on and off the job. And to make things worse, you may find change and success somewhat elusive because you don’t even realize you’re reinforcing the same old habits and thoughts. Those old habits and thoughts just feel good or familiar.

So if you want incredible success in your life, you’ve got a problem. Your left-brain filters out all the ideas that haven’t been used before. It fights the very changes that are needed to make success a reality. And your right brain resists anything that doesn’t feel good.

Somehow or other, you must bypass your left brain filter and plant simple, positive, feel-good messages in your right brain. It’s how you eliminate the bad habits that are getting in the way of your success. It’s how you reprogram your mind for the goals you want to achieve.

That’s why subliminal programming is so powerful. When you listen to subliminal CD’s, you only hear the music. The music is designed to relax the critical part of your mind that resists new ideas. It helps you get past the filter of your left-brain. And the music is designed to feel good, which will appeal to your right brain and help you adopt new, healthier ways of thinking and behaving.

However, embedded in the music are thousands of positive affirmations. I know. I put them into my subliminal CDs. I put them there at slightly lower level of volume. Your mind will hear the positive affirmations, but you will not be consciously aware of them.

The very fact that you are not consciously aware of the subliminal messages makes them readily acceptable. Your mind just soaks them up. The positive affirmations by-pass the “filters” I mentioned a moment ago.

Of course you’re wondering if it works. I’d wonder the same thing. So I’ll give you lots of research evidence from the leading universities of the world in next week’s “Tuesday Tip.” But here’s what some of my clients have said. Over the years, they have sent me scores of testimonials and thanks after using my subliminal tapes and CD’s.

One such person was Beverly, a businesswoman. She wrote:

“Dr. Zimmerman,

A few months ago, my boss attended one of your seminars and purchased several copies of your tapes for our group at work. I borrowed the subliminal achievement and subliminal self-confidence tapes. And wow, what a difference they’ve made. I cannot thank you enough.”

“Before I listened to the tapes, I struggled with a lifetime of difficulty. I lacked self-confidence, and I didn’t follow through on things. I quit college 25 years before.”

“Then I listened to your subliminal tapes. I decided to go back to college. The tapes helped me to study better, and they have given me a confidence and outlook on life that I have NEVER experienced before. I listen to them regularly and even hear the music in my head when I am not listening to the tapes. I thanked my boss for buying the tapes and told her of my ‘miracle transformation’.”

“Thank you so very much, Dr. Zimmerman. Your method works!! My family and friends have noticed major changes in me for the better. I have too. I have told everyone about your tapes and the differences they have made in my life.”

She signed her letter, “Beverly, a very thankful and now successful professional.”

Craig, a manager in a construction company, wrote about the changes in his life and career. He wrote: “Your subliminal CD’s have changed my attitude towards life. And others have noticed the positive change and have commented on it. I used to manage large construction projects out of a fear of failure, but now I manage through a positive belief that I can do it.”

If you’re not adding a bit of subliminal programming to your personal and professional growth strategies, you’re missing out. Not only is it fun, easy, safe, and relaxing, it works. I urge you to get your copy of my new CD album on “Mind Over Matter.” They may well become the most valuable 6 CD’s you’ll ever own.

Action:  You can’t expect a computer to work if you don’t know how to work it. And likewise, you can’t expect to get the full benefit of your mind if you don’t know how to use it. Spend a few minutes studying how the mind works, and you’ll be in greater control of your future and your success.
