You see it in our organizations … where downsizing, outplacements, restructuring,   layoffs, and mergers … are happening all over the place … in a desperate attempt to survive.  And all those things, if they’re not handled properly, can rip the heart out of an organization. You even see the rising tide of change in people’s personal lives.  No one has enough time to do all the things they “need” to do anymore … let alone “want” to do.  So the stress rate, the divorce rate, the heart-attack rate, and a lot of other rates go through the roof. We’re living in a time of monumental change.  And if you’re going to survive or even thrive, you’ve got to know how to manage it.
