Success: It’s an 8-Dimensional Phenomenon
Last week I had the opportunity to spend some time at the Mr. Olympia (the “Super Bowl” of bodybuilding) event held in Las Vegas. And I had the chance to visit with my long-time friend, Lee Labrada, Mr. Olympia 1993.
If you don’t know him you should … because Lee stands for a lot more than body building. Even though Lee is one of the world’s most celebrated bodybuilding legends … holding 22 professional bodybuilding titles … including the IFBB Mr. Universe … he is a champion in every regard.
He taught me that being a champion means being successful in all 8 dimensions of life … physically, recreationally, financially, occupationally, mentally, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. You can’t be physically in great shape … and be spiritually dead … and call yourself a success. You can’t be mentally sharp … but emotionally incapable of handling stress … and call yourself a success. You have to have something positive in every one of the 8 dimensions of life … if you want to be truly successful … and be a real champion.
That’s why Lee went from body building to business. His desire to help others reach their health and nutrition goals inspired him to found Labrada Nutrition in 1995 and create his own line of award-winning nutrition products. He led Labrada Nutrition to become one of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the U.S. — earning Inc. 500 status –in only 6 years.
And that’s why Lee went from business to education. He wrote a best-selling book that tells you everything he’s learned about health, success, motivation, and goal achievement.
Today I challenge you to make sure you have something good and positive going for you in every one of the 8 dimensions of life.
